History of the passenger trip Bremen
In the year's 1929, 1930 and 1933, the Bremen was the world's fastest passenger ship. It was 51,656 gross tons, 938 feet long, 102 feet wide. It had steam turbines and quadruple screws. The speed was 27 knots and it carried 2200 passengers. (800 first class, 500 second class, 300 tourist class and 600 third class.) The ship was built for North German Lloyd Bremerhaven. It was burnt out at Bremerhaven on March 16, 1941. The remains of the ship were scrapped. The last remains were sunk in the Weser River.
